Typhoon “Yagi” landed in Hainan on September 6, Typhoon “Bebinca” landed in Shanghai on September 16, and Typhoon “Pulasan” landed in Zhejiang and Shanghai on September 19. In the past two weeks, China's coastal areas have been hit by typhoons one after another.

“Yagi” is the first autumn typhoon in my country this year, and it also broke the record of the strongest autumn typhoon to land in my country. When the super typhoon “Yagi” passed through Hainan Island, its super typhoon level lasted for 64 hours, causing serious disasters in Haikou, Wenchang, Chengmai, Lingao and other cities and counties. After landing in China twice, “Yagi” continued to advance towards Vietnam in the east. Although the wind force has weakened, the power is still strong.

Typhoon “Bebinca” made landfall in the coastal area of Lingang New City, Pudong, Shanghai on September 16, causing the suspension of all flights, high-speed rail and urban transportation. As “Bebinca” left Shanghai and entered Jiangsu, many places in Jiangsu experienced strong winds of more than level 10, accompanied by heavy rain and severe convective weather. “Bebinca” is not only the strongest typhoon to land in Shanghai since 1949, but also the strongest typhoon on the Shanghai-Nanjing line.

Yesterday evening and night on September 19, this year's 14th typhoon “Pulasan” landed in the coastal areas of Zhejiang and Shanghai. Under its influence, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and other places experienced strong winds and heavy rains, and some areas experienced heavy rains or torrential rains. Although the weather is uncertain, relevant departments in various places are intensively carrying out preparations in an orderly manner to deal with the possible strong winds and heavy rains.
