When you receive an agricultural implement, you see the finished machine.
But before it reaches your warehouse, dealership or farm, it has already passed through many hands — from assembly and inspection to packing and container loading.
Today, instead of introducing another machine, we take you behind the scenes of a normal working day at LEFA, an agricultural machinery manufacturer in China.

A typical day at LEFA starts with production schedules and customer orders. In the workshop, different agricultural implements may be at different stages of production — from flail mowers and topper mowers to rotary tillers and other tractor implements.
During assembly, frames, gearboxes, PTO-related components, blades, safety guards and three-point linkage components gradually come together. Some processes are standardized, while others still rely on experienced hands.
Behind every finished machine are the people who assemble it, check the details and prepare it for the customer.

Before an agricultural implement is packed, it needs to be checked against the confirmed order. Depending on the machine, this may include the assembly, transmission components, fasteners, safety guards, appearance and customer-specific requirements.
For OEM orders, details such as color, logo and nameplate also need to be confirmed.
“Is this machine ready for our customer?”

For agricultural machinery, packing is more important than it may appear. These machines may travel thousands of kilometers by truck and sea before reaching the dealer.
Depending on the product and order requirements, steel-frame or wooden-case packing may be used. Sometimes customers also request customized packing for their market or transportation needs.
Protect the machine. Prepare it for the journey ahead. |

Container loading can feel a little like solving a puzzle. Different machines have different dimensions and packing structures, especially when a dealer orders several types of agricultural implements in one container.
The loading arrangement therefore needs to consider both cargo protection and container space. And finally, the doors close.
LEFA FACTORY → PORT → VESSEL → DEALER → CUSTOMER |
For us, the machine is leaving the factory. For our dealer, another part of the journey is just beginning.
Behind every agricultural implement are people — people who build it, inspect it, pack it and prepare it for its journey.
LEFA has been manufacturing agricultural implements since 2003 and working with customers in Europe, North America, Australia and other international markets.
Machines and markets continue to change, but behind every shipment, the work still begins here — in our workshop.
