Strengthening CN- EU Bilateral Trade
  2021/06/09| View:626

In 2020, despite the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, China's trade with Central and Eastern European countries still shows a strong momentum of growth against the trend. The trade volume exceeded 100 billion US dollars for the first time, an increase of 8.4% over 2019. From January to April 2021, bilateral trade totaled US$40.71 billion, an increase of 47.9% over the same period in 2020.

Currently, the China-CEEC trade index composite index is 273.80 points, a 4% increase from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 28.6%, indicating that China's import and export trade with Central and Eastern European countries continues to grow steadily.

From the statistics of the import quotas of Chinese products from European countries in 2009-2020, it can be reflected that the trade partnership between China and European countries is gradually deepening!

Li Kuiwen, spokesperson of the General Administration of Customs and Director of the Statistical Analysis Department, introduced that the China-CEEC Trade Index has established a scientific, objective and characteristic indicator system from three dimensions of trade scale, trade structure and trade partners, which visually demonstrates China. The level of development of import and export trade with Central and Eastern European countries is the "barometer" and "weathervane" of China's trade development with Central and Eastern European countries.
